October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month Regular breast checks are an important part of looking after your health, and early detection can make a significant difference. Did you know that after every breast reduction procedure, Dr Jane sends the removed breast tissue to pathology for examination? This allows the tissue to be carefully assessed for any unexpected abnormalities, including signs of breast cancer. #BreastCancerAwareness #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth #BreastCheck #Mammogram #WomensHealth #Awareness #StrongerTogether #WomenSupportingWomen

Scar Management with Dr Jane and Nokori Scar Tape Supporting your scar care is an important part of the healing process. As part of your post-operative care, Nokori Scar Tape may be recommended once your incision is fully healed, generally around 4–6 weeks after surgery. Nokori is a 100% medical-grade silicone dressing designed to support the management of surgical and injury-related scars. By creating a protective barrier and maintaining an optimal moisture balance, silicone tape can help to soften, flatten and improve the appearance and texture of scars over time, while helping to minimise the development of raised or thickened scar tissue. Here's how to use it: 1. Make sure your skin is clean and dry. 2. Cut the tape to match the size and shape of your scar. 3. Peel off the backing and gently apply the tape over the scar without stretching it. 4. Leave it on for 1 to 7 days until it peels off naturally (it is water resistent but be gentle, towel pat dry). 5. If needed, you can adjust the tape or save it for later use. 6. Repeat this process for up to 12 months to help your scars appear smoother and less noticeable. #Nokori #NokoriScarTape #ScarManagement #ScarCare #SiliconeTape #SurgicalScars #PostOpCare #ScarTreatment
